An extension and alterations to a north London townhouse
The project replaces a two-storey rear addition, with increased space on the ground floor. A large-scale single pane fixed window with a white rendered frame provides a singular view of the garden. The entrance to the garden is hidden to the side alongside a small pond, which reflects light into the kitchen. Woven stainless steel mesh panels to either side of the pond, hide a rainwater pipe and contrast with the flatness of the white rendered walls.
The ground floor supports a re-built brick upper storey with a second smaller frameless window offering views to the first floor bedroom.
